Blue Moon Curio Shop is a Gallery based in Thamel, Kathmandu. It was established in the late 80’s. It has a vast collection of Himalayan Tribal Arts, such as masks, wooden sculptures, phurba, bracelets, Furniture and singing bowls.

The purpose of this blog is to share my knowledge of Himalayan Tribal Arts with the rest of the world.

The literature on these types of art is still lacking.

What Makes Himalayan Arts important?

Nepal is a landlocked country with a rich and complex history.There are many different castes in Nepal.

Kami ( Goldsmiths, Blacksmiths) belongs to an Indo-Aryan Ethnic Group.
